Download the free handout: “Freud and the Psychology of Atheism”
How do our earthly fathers and the relationship we have with them affect our relationship with our Heavenly Father? Can the lack of a father make a person predisposed to atheism? Hear the answers to these questions and more from Dr. Paul Vitz, senior scholar at the Institute for Psychological Sciences and author of Faith of the Fatherless: The Psychology of Atheism, in his discussion with host Michael Hernon, vice president of Advancement, and theology panelists Dr. Regis Martin and Dr. Scott Hahn of Franciscan University.
Thank you for the wonderful, insightful analysis of today’s growing popularity of atheism and the underlying philosophy which led to the rapid acceptance and active propagation of that belief system., especially in the world of academia. Thank you for the research and inciteful conclusions . It is desparately necessary at this time in history.
Thank you again
I watched this program three times…I did a rewind and then again
My youngest daughter told me in passing(as a matter of fact attitude)that she was now agnostic!
I didn’t react to this news because I was I think shocked…but then I know my daughter and sometimes she
likes to be “different” So I was hoping this was just another way of her trying to flex her muscles and rebel but a 26 year old Mother of three should not rebel right?
I’m hoping this is just a silly fad she’s going through. My husband was and still is a wonderful Dad so this can’t have any bearing on her decision. I just don’t want my Grandchildren ages 8, 7, & 5 to be taught there isn’t a God:(
